Inaugural Season Update

Cream City Youth Chorale regrets to announce the delay of our inaugural season. Due to continued COVID-19 restraints all events have been cancelled through May 2021. We will begin our inaugural season in September 2021. We will hold camps and workshops this summer with concerts dates announced for the fall of 2021.

Research and news regarding the transmission of COVID-19 unfortunately shows that singing is one of the most effective ways of spreading the disease. This presents a huge risk factor for singing in a choral setting. Even though it goes against every ideal within the choir community, the fewer singers and the less singing we do, the less risk to everyone in our community. Because of this, the staff at Cream City Youth Chorale whole-heartedly feels that until we know more about the risks of singing together, the healthiest option for the beginning of our inaugural season is January 2021.

CCYC Founder Lynn Swanson will be offering voice lessons and classes through Developing Voices Studios. This studio is designed to provide singers with short term or long term continued development of her/his voice and musicianship. Private lessons and group lessons are available in the following format:
1) Healthy vocal development and repertoire building ~ ages 11 - mature adult
2) Vocal coaching and preparation for solo, choir, musical theatre, college auditions ~ middle school - college·
3) Music preparation for any of your singer's pending virtual recordings and performances: notes, rhythms, intonation, dynamics, and phrasing                                           all voice parts ~ high school – mature adult.

If your singer is in need of a single session or multiple sessions, please email LSwanson@DevelopingVoices.blog to discuss your singer's needs.
